Uzbekistan and United Kingdom Prospects for bilateral cooperation

A briefing has
recently been held in the British Parliament’s House of Lords where priorities
of political and socio-economic development of Uzbekistan as well as prospects of
bilateral relations were discussed.
An exhibition of innovative projects for
agriculture and water resources, developed for the third Republican Fair of
Innovative Ideas, Technologies and Projects was organized in Tashkent.
The name of the great Uzbek poet Alisher Navoi -
humanist, thinker, statesman, founder of the Uzbek literary language, who left
a rich literary heritage to his descendants, is a symbol of progress of his era
for the peoples of the world.
Malaysia and Uzbekistan continue developing
mutually beneficial cooperation
The Malaysian New Straits Times
has published an article titled “The Close Relations through the Prism of
Common Characteristics”. In the article, the author, deputy editor-in-chief
Balan Moses, writes about modern Uzbekistan,
increasing trade and economic relations with foreign countries, particularly Malaysia.
The
speech by the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov at the joint session of the
Legislative Chamber and Senate of Oliy Majlis, as well as the meeting of the
Cabinet of Ministers, continue to attract attention in government, academic,
expert and public circles in different countries. This is supported by numerous
reviews and comments by prominent public and political figures, as well as
media in foreign countries.
Uzbekistan, South Korea Set for New Stage of Cooperation

Despite long distance, Uzbekistan and South Korea have strong friendships
based on close historical and spiritual values. The people of the Republic of Korea
are thankful for the kindness and mercy expressed to the Koreans that moved to Uzbekistan
during the Second World War. Magnanimity, generosity, kindness, generosity are
the qualities that equally inherent to the Uzbek and Korean people. Spiritual
intimacy engenders mutual trust and respect.
Uzbekneftegaz Holding and the Vietnamese
Petrovietnam Company discussed prospects for cooperation in exploration of the
Kosorsk investment block of Ustyurt region. Last week the holding company held
talks with a delegation from Petrovietnam headed by President Phung Dinh Thuc.
The
announcement of 2010 the Year of Comprehensively Advanced Generation and approval
of government program by the same title in Uzbekistan has drawn an ample
response from the international community. That includes ideas and opinions
coming from different nations and international organizations.
Bahrain University has hosted a presentation of the book
Higher Morals as Invincible Force authored by the President of Uzbekistan
Islam Karimov. Bahrain University’s students and faculty that included political
scientists, historians, social scientists, participated at the event.
