On 25 March 1992
diplomatic relations were established between the Republic
of Uzbekistan and Austria. Since
then, there is an equal dialogue between two countries for the development of
mutually beneficial and fruitful cooperation.

to Uzbekistan Jong Dae Wang, who took part in events dedicated to the Navruz,

A panel discussion has
been organized in Tashkent
to mark the 20th anniversary of Uzbek-Russian diplomatic relations. Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Uzbekistan Vladimir Tyurdenev
noted that the jubilee almost coincides with the celebration of Navruz and that
it is pretty symbolic.
A roundtable was
held in Berlin organized by the German
Association for Economic Co-operation with the countries of Central and Eastern
Europe (OMV), on prospects of Germany’s
health cooperation with Central Asian States.
Members of British
Parliament, Foreign Office, academic and business communities attended a festive
reception in honor of the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations
between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom.
A roundtable discussion
was held in Washington, DC,
devoted to the expansion of economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States. Event was organized
by the US-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce.
In its Resolution,
the Senate of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan
appointed Sherzod Fayziev as an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of
the Republic of Uzbekistan
to Azerbaijan.
The Russian
President Dmitry Medvedev has congratulated President Islam Karimov on the 20th
anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Uzbekistan.
