Heads of governments of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s (SCO) Member States will gather today in Tashkent to hold a regular meeting of the Council. The agenda’s major items are development and further deepening of trade and economic cooperation as well as cultural-humanities interaction within the SCO framework. China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are the Member States of the Organization.

Recently, on October 24th, the United Nations Organization commemorated its 63rd anniversary. The Organization was founded on October 24th, 1945 by 51 countries determined to preserve peace by developing international cooperation and maintaining collective security. Presently, the United Nations has 192 member states, encompassing almost every recognized independent state of the world. Uzbekistan has been a member of the United Nations since March 3rd, 1992.
