Tashkent and Beijing
reinforce bonds
Readers’ attention will surely be attracted by
information under the heading "Tashkent and Beijing Strengthen Bilateral
Ties", which reports on the visit to Uzbekistan of a special envoy of the
President of China, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of All-China
Congress of People's Representatives Chen Zhili, held to celebrate the 20th
Anniversary of the establishing of the diplomatic relations between the two
countries. It is emphasized that at present the Chinese-Uzbek relations are at
a new stage in its development where unique opportunities and broad prospects.
In particular, the paper quoted Chen Zhili that China was willing to work with
Uzbekistan to implement the agreements reached leaders of two countries,
enhance mutual political trust, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in all
fields.
Renewables - conceptual dimensions of
development
Uzbekistan is discussing the possibility of
development of renewable energy sources reported about a roundtable of the
parliamentary faction of the Adolat Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan with
Uzbekenergo held in Tashkent,
which discussed the conceptual direction of development of renewable energy in
the country. It was attended by leading scientists and experts in energy and
energy efficiency of the Academy
of Sciences,
representatives of relevant ministries and departments, enterprises and
organizations.
Uzbekistan has established a solid scientific
and technological base of extensive use of renewable energy sources. During the
event, with specific examples were shown high efficiency of use of domestic
renewable energy developments, which are widely recognized outside the country.
