announced the international contest for the fifth national journalism award
Oltin Qalam (Golden Pen). The competition’s organizing committee convened for a
session at the National
Press Center
on the occasion.
Non-government broadcasters gathered for a
media forum entitled “The Role of Non- Government Electronic Media in Modernizing
the Nation and Building a Solid Civil Society”.
Uzbekistan is home to unique wetland areas. The exceptional
value of these lands for preservation of biodiversity and stable development of
ecosystems was highlighted in the press conference at the State Committee for
Nature Protection of the Republic
