During Navruz holidays public organizations in
the country are doing wonderful gifts for just married. As part of its joint
project of the Fund Forum, Women’s Council, Mehr Nuri Foundation and Social
Initiatives Support Fund will be organizing weddings and traditional Sunnat-Tuy
(circumcision party) for boys under 10.
A regular panel discussion on the draft laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan
‘On social partnership’ and ‘On public control in the Republic of Uzbekistan’
took place in the republic. Representatives of governmental and nongovernmental
non-profit organizations, civil society institutes, lawyers and scholars pointed
out the tangible work on building a democratic, constitutional state with a
steadily growing economy and civil society, where the human, his interests,
rights and freedoms are the highest value.

Navruz has been the oldest, most favorite and eagerly
awaited holiday in Uzbekistan.
In recent years it has become one of the most salient and important days for
Uzbek people, as since old days, the vernal equinox has been celebrated not
just with songs, dances and traditional dishes, but with good deeds, peaceful
initiatives, selflessness and charity. And it's not just a date on the
calendar. Since independence Uzbekistan
began to revive its rich cultural and spiritual heritage. These initiatives are
appreciated by the international community as a great contribution to the world
culture, as can be seen on the example of UNESCO who included Navruz in the
list of intangible cultural heritage of mankind.
Family is a starting point of a new, adult,
independent life. One must undertake great responsibility not only for him or
herself, but for the spouse as well.

All regions of the country are actively
preparing for the loved holiday in accordance with the traditions of our
people. Farmers have already begun spring work. Villagers and mahallas are busy
