Tashkent is hosting regional events of the
International Telecommunication Union (ITU): the Forum ‘Bridging the
standardization gap’ for the CIS countries, the preparatory meeting of the
Regional Communication Commonwealth (RCC) for the World Telecommunication
Standardization Assembly and the preparatory meeting of RCC for the World
Conference on International Telecommunications.

at the invitation of the Ecology Movement of Uzbekistan on April 2. During the
visit the sides inked a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ecology Movement

Singapore Minister of State for Foreign Affairs
visits Uzbekistan

On April 2-6, 2012, the delegation headed by Minister
of State for Foreign Affairs of the Republic
of Singapore Masagos Zulkifli pays an
official visit to Uzbekistan.
The program of the visit envisages meetings and talks at several ministries and
participation in bilateral political consultations.
The national program Year of Family makes a
strong focus on a growing attention and concern for young families, providing
them with legal and social protection, the provision of a broad financial and
moral support. This, of course, also includes provision of decent housing,
necessary privileges and preferences.
Tashkent hosted the
two-day expert meeting of the Steering Committee to support the documentation of
standards and procedures for the serial and transnational nomination of World
Heritage properties of the Great Silk
Road in Central Asia.
The traditional project of the Fund Forum and Kelajak
Ovozi “One Team, One Family” is held on a particularly wide scale this year. The
nationwide youth campaign is to cover all regions of the country and consist of
a series of diverse events on the various fields of contemporary life of youths.
From March 26 to April 24 the younger generation of Uzbekistan will unite in a common urge
for new knowledge, achievements and success.

Center of Uzbekistan has hosted a press conference
on the activities within the Uzarchive network, improvement of quality of
services and strengthening of logistical base.
Uzbekistan Airways has launched a joint program
with the Japan International Cooperation Agency, providing improved quality of
baggage handling by developing an action plan and training the company's
personnel on these issues.
The first eco-park will open soon in Tashkent on the territory
of the former zoo for active recreation, couples with kids and all fans of a
healthy lifestyle. For the new park, designers used environmentally-friendly
materials.
Today
