President Meets with South Korean Parliament Speaker

President of the Republic
of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov met with
Park Hee-Tae, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea,
at the Oqsaroy on January 10.
Last week the department of the Cabinet of
Ministers of Uzbekistan
for education, health and social welfare, information systems and
telecommunications discussed the socioeconomic development in 2011 and tasks
for 2012.

hosted a round table ‘Economic Independence
of Media, an Important Part of Democratic Reforms’. The meeting gathered
managers of non-state broadcasting companies, directors and editors of the
media outlets within the National Association of Electronic Mass Media. Participants
of the round table discussed the Resolution of President of Uzbekistan
Islam Karimov ‘On Additional Tax Exemptions and Incentives for Further
Development of Media’.
Farg’ona anticipates a scaled improvement of the road and transport system this year, its architectural appearance, social and market infrastructure will
be renewed, municipal facilities, engineering and public systems will be
reconstructed, upgraded and overhauled.
