The Asian Judo Championship that brought
together 185 athletes from 26 countries at Tashkent’s
Uzbekistan
Sports Complex has had an Olympic focus. Following the continental
championships, the International Judo Federation (IJF) will draw a line in the
rating list and name the London
Olympics participants.
The very fact that the qualifying wrestling
tournament in Taiyuan, China, brought together more than 400 athletes from 74
countries which suggested of the huge desire of athletes to get to London
Olympics. But there was only 50 London
licenses left: three in each weight for males and two for females.

Tashkent Challenger has been
selected to receive the 2011 Jim McManus Challenger Award for the best overall
event on the circuit last year. Uzbekistan Tennis Federation received an
official letter with this notification and an invitation to the Monte Carlo to
the awards ceremony, which was to be held during the Masters Tournament.
Last week, in Stuttgart at the Porsche
Tennis Grand Prix Tournament with the prize money of $740,000 the strongest
female tennis player of Uzbekistan
won the Slovak Dominika Cibulkova, sixteenth in world rating, while
Amanmuradova to a hundred positions behind her.

Championship of Asia for Women felt free at
the place.
