Tashkent
Chemical Engineering Institute hosted a scientific conference on the
effectiveness of cooperation in building of innovative culture in young people
and supporting talented young people with research. The meeting was initiated
by deputies of Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Adolat.
The
conference aimed at discussing the issues of building of innovative thinking in
the youth, development of mechanisms for implementation of this task, support
and encouragement of their innovative initiatives, projects and products. In
its election program the party pointed out that ‘its activities in economy
sector will focus on deepening the social orientation of the market economy,
which should fairly transform the results of economic growth into improvement
of living standards of different social groups and strata of the population’.

Adolat considers its uppermost task to build an innovation-targeted economy in Uzbekistan, the
development of which would best empower scientific and technical potential. The
Party attaches key importance to measures on restructuring of the economy and
its upgrade, technical and technological extension of production. The economy should
be based on the latest achievements of science and technology, on the effective
management of economic processes and the education system that brings forward
innovative thinking. A particular importance is attached to the development and
practical implementation of ‘national innovation system’, since the next few
years will be determinant for the transition to an innovative economy based on
promising ideas, inventions, and the ability to introduce them quickly.
The
Party monitors the development and introduction of mechanisms to promote the
reduction of energy intensity, strict saving mode, reduction of production
costs and price, the use of renewable energy sources. The Party attaches a great
importance to promotion of competitive energy market through integrated
development of all kinds of alternative energy production.
Presenting
their research projects and products young people expressed their views on the
development of innovative technologies in various sectors of the economy,
proposed a number of innovative technological ideas on upgrade of enterprises, plants,
and tools for human resources management in the developing market economy.
“My
project on organization of a special laboratory for cultivation of aquatic
plants was considered the best in the competition for the Top Social Business
Idea - 2011,”
said Shavkat Asimov, a student of Tashkent
Chemical Engineering Institute. “I hope the outcomes of my research will be
used in future in obtaining the biologically active substances from aquatic
plants and in industry.”
