Expansion in the range of goods precipitates
increase in production volumes

The growth rate of production in the factories
of the Uzbek association of enterprises of radio electronic, electrical instruments
engineering O’zeltekhsanoat in the first half of 2010 amounted to 124.2%, as
compared to the same period last year. This was the result of modernization of
enterprises and expansion of the range of manufactured goods. Experts predict
the enterprises will also show an increase in production in the second half of
the year.
A new form of judicial procedure is developing
in Uzbekistan

The first agreements between businesses that included
a clause that in case of failure to settle disputes through negotiations, the
parties shall refer them to the permanent court of arbitration appeared in the
country in January 2007 after the entry into force of the Law of the Republic
of Uzbekistan On Arbitration Courts. Since then, the number of such contracts
is rising. Along with this the republic goes on developing arbitration courts
and the infrastructure necessary for their full and high-quality work.
Uzbekistan’s Cabinet of Ministers has convened to review the socioeconomic progress
in the country for the first part of the year. The government has also worked
out an additional action plan directed at unconditional implementation of
priority policies in social and economic development in 2010. The guidelines
had been mapped out by President Islam Karimov during the government’s similar session
on January 29, 2010.
Within five years Uzbekistan projects to double fish
production. In pursuit of this objective in recent years, the aquaculture has
become one of the country’s science-based industries of agriculture with
developing infrastructure necessary for its successful advance, as well as
expanding range of products.
The recently held BeautyExpo 2010 and Kinder
Expo Uzbekistan 2010 have turned out to be the major events in exhibition
industry this summer. Along with the latest products for skin care, hygiene and
nourishment products, the trade fair displayed an increased health awareness of
the population and that healthcare today is a matter of concern for not merely
the physicians, but every one of us.
Colleges, lyceums and universities in the
country see off their graduates

Late June-early July is traditionally a time
for graduation ceremonies in academic lyceums, professional colleges,
institutes and universities, as learning circles call it the start of examining
the entire education system and of every institution in particular. The number
of employed young professionals today is one of the major qualitative
indicators of schools’ performance. However, the teachers and mentors are
confident in the success of their graduates.
Enterprises of Uzcharmpoyabzal association exported
more than $8.5 million worth of leather production in 2009. This might seem not
a big deal, especially when compared to volumes of other export oriented
sectors. However, suffice it to recall that in 2000 the export rate was much
lower.
Summer is a period of vacations and holidays.
Naturally, there is a question: Where and how to pass the time for rest in
order to have the use and pleasure? The majority of Uzbek people choose to have
rest within the republic. And it is understandable. The level of development of
tourism and recreation infrastructure in the country is sufficient to satisfy
all needs of vacationers.
