Our capital is getting beautiful over the years of independence. Socioeconomic, spiritual, enlightenment and architectural spheres are boosting. On the occasion of the 19^th anniversary of independence the scale of works on building, beautification and renovation of the city expanded. New administrative structures, education institutions, children’s music and art schools, family polyclinics, spirituality and enlightenment institutions, sports complexes have been built.

On the threshold of the of the Constitution Day the Tashkent Municipal Administration hosted the grand ceremony of handing high state awards of the Motherland to a group of our compatriots distinguished by their fruitful work in economic, social, cultural, building, production, educational, sports and health spheres.

The scaled reforms being implemented under the guidance of President Islam Karimov assign a big part to revival of people’s spirituality, in-depth study of rich historical heritage and development of national customs and traditions. The state prioritizes the comprehensive support and fostering of people working in this line.

The group of our compatriots working in cultural, enlightenment, public and social spheres was awarded to titles of honor, orders and medals for their worthy contribution into strengthening of the Motherland’s sovereignty, rise of people’s culture and spirituality, eminent mastery and creativity, scientific activities, selfless work, active participation in upbringing the comprehensively advanced youth in the spirit of love to the Motherland.

The grand ceremony of awarding took place in the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theater.

Holders of awards expressed their sincere gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for high trust in them. They noted that the fruitful and fair labor had always been honored in our country. The concern and care by the state encourage for the active collaboration for the sake of development and prosperity of the republic and its people.
