A path to science starts from school

The publication of the magazine “Technologies of the 20th Century” for teenagers launches in Tashkent.
The publication of this popular scientific-technical and cultural-educational magazine has been undertaken by the Committee for Coordination of Science and Technology Development under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan. It is published in Uzbek and Russian languages. Periodicity - six issues a year. Articles for the magazine are written by eminent scholars and those who only started their path in science. The audience is school and university students. Any school, lyceum and college can subscribe for the magazine. The first issue is devoted to the history and prospects of information technology. Materials on the latest world achievements in the sphere and contribution of the Uzbek academics and specialists in it published in the magazine. For instance, the issue informs about the start of production in Farg’ona of devices for reading electronic books Jet Book and pocket translators Partner by the company Ectaco.Uz. These devices base contains data on 39 languages. Uzbekistan becomes the first in the CIS to produce such high-tech products.
“The following issues of the magazine will be devoted to energy and energy sources, automobile industry, chemistry, biotechnology, medicine and ecology,” informs the general director of the magazine Nurmurod Ramazonov. “The publication has announced about the contest on the best picture in technology. The winners will be awarded with valuable prizes.”
