The opening night of the play “White Apples”
staged by the director Sayfiddin Meliyev has taken place in the Uzbek State
Drama Theater. The creative troupe of the theater portrayed interesting vital
stories based on the events adopted from the products of the modern writer
Erkin A’zam.
Unique old
traditions of the people of Surkhondaryo region, particularly, of Boysun (the
main action place), are interlaced in the play with modern ideas of culture and
art. The whole range of motley national color and music performed by the
instrumental ensemble “Do’mbra” complemented the product with special charm.
Choykhona –
tea house is in the limelight of the action – a customary part of Uzbek
people’s culture combining in itself kind traditions and customs. This busy
place brings together various people not only for dining but to commune with
friends while drinking fragrant tea.
It is
choykhona where main characters meet each other and where they hold
heart-to-heart talks and discuss the ways of solving the exciting issues.
Various situations occurring during the play are intersected with each other in
the end.
“All
characters of the play are nice people with inspiring hearts, good intentions
who truly love their Motherland,” underscores Sayfiddin Meliyev. “Not without
reason the play’s name is “White Apples” that is inherent in sincere and open-hearted
people. Romanticism, friendship and devotion is laid on the basis of the play.”
The key
theme of the play is friendly ties between various peoples, as characters
portrayed in the work are of various nationalities residing in Uzbekistan yet
connected with common values and hopes. Promising young actors along with
experienced ones act in the play “White Apples”, including Farhod Muhtorov,
Shohida Uzoqova, Gulbahor Yo’dosheva, Haybulla Jumanov, and others.
The actors demonstrated

catching the audience’s fancy with mysterious and never-getting-old art of embodying
imaginations and dreams on the stage.
