Honoring Young Artists
- laureates of Zulfiya State Prize

The Central Exhibition Hall of Uzbekistan’s Academy of Arts has opened the creative exhibition of holders of Zulfiya Prize within the traditional festival of folk trades “Navruz 2011.”
Much emphasis is placed in our country to the talented youth, they are supported by the government. It concerns the talented ladies as well who are distinguished with their active public and civil position. The brightest illustration of it is the establishment of the Zulfiya State Prize that is awarded for special merits and achievements in the sphere of literature, culture, arts, science and education. From every beginning year the number of laureates of the Prize grows, and today, it reached 168. Thanks to the fruitful activity of the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan and several partner organizations, the triumphed ladies are further supported in their creativity and work.
Not a few those Zulfiya Prize winners preferred to be engaged in fine and applied art. For to support the creative activity of young artists the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan together with the Academy of Arts organized the exhibition of works by six laureates of the Zulfiya State Prize of previous years – Aynura Sapekeyeva and Bibinaz Kaipova from Karakalpakstan, Dilfuza Matboboyeva of Andijon region, Nasibakhon Sharipova of Qashqadaryo region, Bonu Azizova from Khorazm and Surayyo Ma’murboyeva of Tashkent region.
“The talented artists represented in this exhibition their quite diverse creativity. It is rather pleasant to learn that after awarding the prize these ladies continue their creativity actively, improve their skills and set new tasks,” underscores the deputy chairperson of the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan Gulnora Ma’rufova.
The current exhibition consisted of paintings glorifying spring, buoyancy, beauty and grandeur of home place evoked huge interest in visitors. The author characters are expressed in new styles and ideas, special creative seeking by means of which young female artists demonstrate their individualities.
“I do proud of my Motherland and try glorifying it through my creativity. The Zulfiya State Prize gifted me self-confidence and helped me to implement my creative ideas, to become a successful artist. It is a grand support of the government,” noted Bonu Azizova, the exhibition participant.
