The fact that sports are becoming more popular
among girls was once again demonstrated at the second round of the 7th
Uzbekistan
Championship on futsal. It gathered 14 football teams from Tashkent, Andijon, Bukhoro, Jizzakh,
Qashqadaryo, Samarqand, Tashkent
and Khorazm regions under the roof of the capital’s Yoshlik arena. Nine of them
were from major league, and five more represented league 1.
Today, women’s football is especially developed in Qashqadaryo, because its
main enthusiasts are the region’s hokim Nuritdin Zayniev and director of Shurtan
chemical complex Alisher Sultanov. This support has provided a truly
professional approach to business, and no one is surprised by the success of
undisputed champions of the country - Sevinch team of Qarshi. Why would not the
girls win when they have excellent sports facilities, and the staff has no
problems with the organization of trainings, or participation in various
competitions, even on international level. They even have an own international
tournament – the Qarshi Cup, which is held in the regional center since 2009.
But the main thing here is that great attention is paid to preparation of the
reserve. The youth team Olimpia is on the leading role in the big league. And Lochin
of Miraka is the undisputed leader in league-1.
This year Sevinch is going for the first place as usual. However,
players of the famous Andijon coach Miriman Kim, who celebrated his 75th
anniversary early this year, have same ambitions. His Andijanka is the only team
that managed to take away points from the leader. This match in Yoshlik held everyone
in suspense all until the last seconds. Qashqadaryo girls were losing - 1:2,
were able to avoid defeat, after making the score even right in the end of the
match. And that allowed them to keep the lead as Andijanka could not win one of
the outsiders Chirchik (3:3) in the first round.
Jizzakh, Chirchiq, as well as one more club from Tashkent region Tumaris are in the bottom of
the table. And the first six teams Sevinch (22 points), Andijanka (20) Olympia (18), Bukhoro
Yoshlik (12), Samarqand Sherdor (11) and Tashkent Semurg (10) will complete the
final championship round, which will be held at the Sports Complex of the
Tashkent University of Information Technology from March 27 to April 1.
