Pharmaceutical enterprises
of the country actively cooperated with local developers of medicines and
medical equipment said Habibulla Jalilov the chief of the department of quality
control of drugs and medical equipment of the Ministry of Healthcare of Uzbekistan
answering the UT questions.
- In what direction
is the development of the industry going?
- We walk the path of intensive development of domestic
industry. If twenty years ago there were only three companies in the country that
manufacture drugs and medical equipment, then today there are 118 of them. 92 enterprises produce 873 items of drugs and 24 - 150
items of medical equipment and medical devices. Moreover, there is a growth
tendency of both the number of enterprises, as well as of the list of their
products.
- Is that true that the intensive modernization is
underway at the enterprises of the country?
- Indeed it is. Moreover, it is the
modernization with a phase transition to ISO and GMP international quality
standards. Among the companies which already have these certificates are Novofarma
Plus Ltd, Farmed Sanoat and Jurabek Laboratories LLC. Fifteen more enterprises
of the country are at the implementation stage.
Noteworthy,
that the companies launch new facilities to expand the list of products. The companies of the industry cooperate with local
scientists as never before, which results in original drugs.
- How many types of medicines that
have no analogues are produced at the enterprises of the country?
- Approximately 30. Among
them are oligvon, ayustan, gossipol, ferulong, ferrokomed and others. About
10 domestic developments are to pass through licensing procedures. All these drugs are the result of years of research of
national research institutes, higher medical schools and institutes of the Academy of Sciences of the republic. The most
domestic drugs of vegetable or animal origin are made from natural raw
materials and thus have higher efficiency.
- What products
suggest domestic manufacturers of medical machinery and equipment?
- Production of medical
equipment and devices is a new direction for domestic enterprises. Altogether,
production of 58 names of bandaging materials made of cotton fiber is already
launched. Besides, domestic syringes, transfusion systems,
catheters, diagnostic and treatment devices are already available in the
market. This dynamics assures that in future the list of produced goods will
expand.
