Meeting with youth on the theme “Constitution
of the Republic
of Uzbekistan – Guarantee
of Rights and Freedom” has taken place in Navoi district. The event was

As the legend goes, a
paradise garden existed somewhere in the East at the dawn of world. This garden
might have grown in the territory of modern-day Central
Asia. A solid part of the garden should have been within the borders
of present Uzbekistan.
In any case, scientists have asserted that many types of cultural plants had
started their world “travel” chiefly from the ancient Uzbek land. And it is no
mere coincidence that the country is located in a region with one of the
highest concentrations of unique biodiversity. Over 60 types of fruit crops alone grow in the territory of the republic.
For quite a long period of time Uzbek people have
been famed for their art of artistic decorating of textiles. Traditions of
ancient folk art are skillfully combined in it with the living sense of the
present. The art of textiles decoration, like chronicles, reflects the rich
history of the nation, passing the traditions of artistic creativity of many
thousand talented masters over generations.
Breeding rare species
of the camel, horse and sheep used to be among our ancestors’ major accomplishments
in animal reproduction. These animal groups are distinct with their phenomenal
qualities.
The show-contest “Navruz Yallasi 2010” among
art groups and performers took place in Andijon. Winners of the contest will
perform during Navruz celebrations.
