O’zbekiston TV channel has started broadcasting
the television festival of amateur folklore collectives Ko’hna Zamin Ohanglari
(Melodies of Ancient
Land). Local viewers have
already seen the performances of groups from Andijon and Karakalpakstan.
Performances
of representatives of various regions of the country will be broadcasted every
Saturday. The festival is organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sports in
conjunction with the media-center of the National Television and Radio Company
of Uzbekistan.
Results are to be summed up in March 2012.
