The national team of Uzbekistan returned from Astana, Kazakhstan, where
they attended the 51st International Competition in Mathematics with
best results ever for the whole history of the country’s participation in this
prestigious intellectual youths’ competition. The collection of trophies
includes one bronze and four silver medals and the honorable mention diploma.

over a thousand inscriptions on the world-known architectural ensemble Registan
in Samarqand. Ulughbek, Sherdor and Tilla-Qori Madrasahs combining the ensemble
Registan deservingly considered the unique monuments of the Eastern
Renaissance.
The Environmental Movement of Uzbekistan
presented the first issue of the children’s edition Little Spring and its own
ecological garden on the occasion of the World Environment Day.
The events aimed at raising the level of ecological
culture in population were held throughout the republic on the occasion of the
holiday. A big holiday was organized by the State Committee for Nature
Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with UNDP Office in
Uzbekistan in Mirzo Ulughbek amusement park in Tashkent. Activists of
ecological community, known figures of science, culture and art, representatives
of ministries and industrial enterprises, farms and youth organizations took
part in the activities.
