Modern methods of AIDS diagnosis and treatment introduced

On December 1
countries of the United Nations celebrated the World AIDS Day for the twentieth
time. “Stop AIDS! Unite efforts” information campaign was spent worldwide. In Uzbekistan it
takes place in the course of measures on formation of a healthy way of life.
Today twenty six enterprises of the largest pharmaceutical producer SSC Uzpharmsanoat produce 480 names of medications and medical products. Besides, production of 60 more will be launched in 2009.
A presentation of a plan of measures on preparation to pandemia influenza 2009-2011, which was adopted in addition to the National flu control programme, was held in Tashkent. The plan was developed by specialists of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan in association with the World Health Organization.

Functional diagnosis specialists increasing in number

The functional diagnostics department of Tashkent Doctors Training Institute is the youngest branch of the institute. For six months of its work 180 doctors have passed professional improvement courses there.
Conditions for carrying out of surgeries on removing pituitary adenoma through the nose have been created in Namangan regional branch of the Republican Scientific Center of Emergency Medical Aid. Thereby, it will be the Republic’s second clinic, which implements these demanded high technological surgeries.
A scientific-practical conference, devoted to protection of children’s and teenagers’ health, has taken place in the capital. It was organized by the Ministry of Health and Tashkent Medical Pediatric Institute and Pediatricians Association of Uzbekistan. Specialists focused on formation of a healthy way of life of the rising generation.
On the eve of the Day of Medical Workers 126 people were awarded “high achiever of healthcare” honorable sign. And veterans, who dedicated their work to health protection, received cash awards. The awarding ceremony took place during the solemn evenings held all over the country. Tashkent Institute of Doctors Training was the venue of main holiday events.
