A charity event of the
international children’s fund “Operation Smile” in Uzbekistan has ended in an
unusual manner. Not only did Singaporean doctors carry out plastic surgeries on
children, but also replenished their team with specialists from the clinic of
Tashkent Medical Pediatric Institute.
For more than half century Andijon has been a center of scientific and practical medicine. The city attained this status owing in many respect to the State Medical Institute operating there.
Recently the new resort of the Federation of Trade Unions – “Hatirchi servis” welcomed the first visitors. It is located on the slopes of Langar mountain range in Navoi region.

For this purpose today, model and demonstration medical centers are prepared in every region with assistance of specialists of the republican health facilities. They are based on stations that have achieved the best results in their daily work. Among them are rural medical stations “Birlik” of Tashkent region, “Tashkent” of Syrdarya region, “Korkumdi” of Kashkadarya region and others.
