Experts point to the raising quality of medical

UT has got familiar with the implementation of
the state program for construction, major repairs, renovation, equipping and
retrofitting of health institutions, designed up to 2014, and other projects to
strengthen financial and technical base of medical institutions in the Republic
of Karakalpakstan.

scanners which were acquired as part of the program to equip the regional
branches of the Republican
Scientific Center
of Emergency Medical Aid is being completed.
The decree of the President of the Republic of
Uzbekistan “On Major Directions of Further Deepening of Reforms and Implementation
of the State Program for Healthcare Development” has become an impetus for
further development of hematological service. Today, hematologist’s rooms are available
in district and regional health facilities.

Reviewing the World Breastfeeding Week

development and prospects of children ophthalmology in Uzbekistan. We are
glad to respond to these requests.
Specialists of the Republican Joints and Hands Specialized
Surgery Center
have developed a new surgery for treatment of coxarthrosis of second and third
degree, which gives better results than widely used conventional methods. Muhammad
Shorustamov, deputy director of the Joints and Hands Specialized

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of
Uzbekistan adopted a decree “On additional measures to improve reproductive
health of mothers and children in rural areas of the country”, according to
which in 2010-2015 a set of measures to ensure that pregnant women living in
rural areas will be provided with a special complex of multivitamins containing
including folic acid will be implemented.
