Healthcare institutions are gradually developing in
Horazm region

Almost all
medical institutions in the Horazm region will strengthen their material and
technical base, and will be provided with the latest medical equipment in
compliance with the State Program for Construction, Overhaul, Reconstruction,
Equipping and Additional Equipping of Healthcare Institutions by 2014. The UT
correspondent tracked the course of the program’s implementation.
A team of developers of a high-antiseptic wound-healing
remedy “FarGALS” on the eve of the fifth anniversary of release of the drug on
the market announced a soon start production of new original products,
including for the treatment of internal organs.
Specialists of the Central Research Laboratory at
Andijon State Medical Institute continue to study the healing properties of
copper. They are currently developing ways of its use for percutaneous
treatment of diseases of internal organs. The details are presented by MD

Every year doctors detect an increasing number
of cases of latent ischemia and provide early treatment, which prevents many
diseases of the heart. Experts believe this is a result of equipping medical
facilities with cycle ergometers and their analogues created based on the treadmill.
Last decade has witnessed large improvements in
clinical and biochemical laboratory services in rural areas. New equipment
installed in the rural health centers and district health associations have
greatly enhanced the opportunities of diagnosing complex diseases.
Ten years ago, after the establishment of a
network of mother and child screening centers, the list of medical specialties
approved by the Ministry of Healthcare was added a ‘medical genetics’ line.
Today representatives of this profession greatly contribute to the birth and
upbringing of comprehensively developed, strong and healthy generation.
In order to improve the correctional treatment
and development of children with disabilities the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan adopted the Decree “On Measures to
Improve the National
Specialized Pre-school
Educational Institutions.”

On July 5, 2006 in Qushqo’pir district of Khorazm region
Shahlo Hudoyberganova gave birth to Siamese twins - brothers Hasan and Husan
Kamiljanovs - first such case registered in Uzbekistan. Owing to the
professionalism and skill of doctors brothers were separated in the four-month
age which saved Husan’s life.
The Scientific Center of Surgery of Liver and
Biliary Tract of the Ministry of Healthcare of Uzbekistan have developed a
method to remove the bile using domestic drugs - Novobahtit and Bektit made of
white clay and activated drupes carbon.
