Andijon State University got its start in 1931
with the establishment of Andijon Evening Institute as part of Farghona
Pedagogical Institute. In various periods on the base of this higher
educational institution there were set up three other Andijon institutes – Medical,
Engineering and Agricultural, as well as Namangan State University. In 2010,
the Cabinet of Ministers approved an action plan directed at the development of
this university.
Issues on deepening
integration between vocational education institutions and industry still remain
