The first month of summer holidays, June has passed. In this period 25
thousand boys and girls relaxed in summer camps and another 45 thousand in
those under the secondary schools. There are also children’s creation centers
in Uzbekistan.
Summer 2008 Program is in full swing.
These days under the State Nationwide School Education Development
Program for 2004-2009 the construction of 64 new schools, reconstruction of 558
schools and major repair of 1247 school buildings is ongoing in
Uzbekistan. The construction works in
all these establishments are to end by the beginning of new school year.
One of the
most successful projects of “Forum of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan”
Foundation “Asrlar Sadosi” will be presented in pictures. The outdoor festival
drew a wide response of the Uzbek community and foreign specialists.
The Tashkent
House of Photography is hosting an exhibition of Sakina Mukhamedjanova, one of
the promised young female artists of Uzbekistan. Entitled as “World of
ideas”, this is Sakina’s first personal exposition. The young artist is
represented thirty five works in originally decorated hall.
Over ten years
the picturesque French city of St.
Florent has held “Festival les Orientales” (“Festival
of Oriental Nations”) of traditional music. This year young talents from Uzbekistan
participate in the festival with the support of “Forum of Culture and Arts of
Uzbekistan” Foundation.
In Tashkent the “Yoshlik”
students’ town uniting representatives of 22 educational institutions
reconstructs some of its buildings to create more favorable learning and living
conditions for the youth there.
This year
out-of-school environmental education of Uzbekistan
starts new development stage developed and introduced by the “Bioecosan” Republican Center. A new special building was
designed for it.
All 62 higher
educational institutions of Uzbekistan
have set up their admission committees. Specialists predict that this year the
number of entrants in bachelor is to grow 10% in comparison with last year. As
a result, more than half of million applicants will obtain the right to
participate in tests.
Uzbekistan develops the State Program on
strengthening resource basis of higher educational institutions for 2009-2012,
a mechanism of works which the country has accomplished since the first years
of independence.
