For to study in graduate courses of the Banking and Finance Academy it is necessary to have Bachelor’s diploma and at least two years of service in the position no less than key specialist at departments of the Ministry of Finance, Tax Committee or banking. Besides, applicants should have recommendation letter from the workplace. After enrolment, attendees will study not two academic years, but only fourteen months.

“All peculiarities in organization of the learning process in the academy come from the tasks assigned on the preparation of specialists, qualification of which meets the international requirements,” underscores the rector of the Banking and Finance Academy Abdurakhim Vakhobov. “Departments of Banking, Finance, Investment and Tax Forecast train undergraduates. These departments have all conditions for professional upgrade of attendees.”

Much emphasis in the academy is placed on the learning of English language that is trained intensively.

At least one course is conducted here monthly with involvement of foreign specialist that reads lectures. Thus, these days the ATTF expert from Luxembourg Graham Cheshire has conducted the course concerning corporate finance. In February it is expected the visit of the manager of Master’s courses on banking and finance at the University of Luxembourg Julian Presber that will have lectures on the development of capital markets.   

Those knowing foreign languages have the advantage to be included in groups of listeners sending by the academy for foreign training courses. Nowadays, students of the academy have visited 42 leading financial-economic universities and organizations located in 20 countries of the world. Thus, for example, 149 students visited Luxembourg, 138 – Japan, 119 – UK, and 115 – the Netherlands.

The modern system of advanced training of specialists of the country could not be imagined without a special faculty of the banking and Finance Academy. “All specialists of the Banking and Finance Academy working in the executive positions are our regular visitors. Each of them once in three years undergoes here three-month courses of advanced training. We acquaint them with details of all innovations in both national and world banking-financial system,” emphasized Abdurakhim Vakhobov.

The Academy is a leading scientific center where the ways of development of banking-financial sphere get studied. In 2011, research works on six applied and one fundamental theme were completed. The academy runs three republican specialized scientific councils that deal with defense of candidate’s and doctor’s theses on the following specialties: Finance, Money Turnover and Credits, Auditing, and Economy of Agricultural Sector.
