Retrospective exhibition in memory of a
talented painter

Life of a person can not be eternal, yet art works
created by them leave their mark in the hearts of people, in the memory of
generations. The brightest example is the creativity of the renowned painter,
academician of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan Medat Kagarov, highly
estimated by the art connoisseurs to these days. A vast collection of compositions
of the master has been displayed in the exhibition Wanderer that was opened in
the Gallery of Fine Arts of Uzbekistan.
Among outstanding forefathers of the Uzbek
people who left their mark in the history of Motherland, a special place goes
to Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur, the great statesman and soldier, talented writer
and poet. This year the country celebrates the 529th date of birth
of this historic personality.
The Center of National Arts has represented one of the
unique phenomena of traditional culture – products of the Eastern miniature,
created by artists Bahodir and Behzod Khojimetov. The first personal exhibition
of father and son, organized by the Fund Forum and IJOD Association of Artists,
Art Historians and Folk Masters, has opened the art season of 2012.
Uzbekistan delegation has presented the traditional national art in the Festival
of Handicrafts and Folklore Surajkund Mela that took place in the same-name
Indian settlement addressing the 20 years of establishment of diplomatic
relations between Uzbekistan
and India.
Quite soon the Alisher Navoi State Academic
Grand Theater will present its admirers with the long-awaited staging of the
opera Troubadour by the well-known Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi (1813 -
1901).
Graphic works by the talented artist Timur
Ahmedov have been displayed in the exhibition hall of the Ilhom Theater. This
time his creativity is presented in a new angle, and the exhibition visitors
have the opportunity to talk to the author in person.
The Uzbek State Drama Theater has prepared
another surprise for its admirers. It is turned the premiere of the colorful
play Zubayda, staged by the director Sayfiddin Meliev on the basis of the eponymous
play by the Italian playwright Carlo Gozzi. The distinctive staging kept in
mind of the audience with its beautiful and emotional plot and inimitable play
of actors.
Several centuries ago the Uzbek people gave the
world the talented writer and poet, statesman and ordinary man with rich and
singular inner world whose scientific works and artistic products are still
considered the heritage of the world literature and inspire millions of readers
and make them to take a different view to life. That is why the people of Uzbekistan
mark the 571st date of birth of Alisher Navoi so stately.
Exhibition of works of the Romanian photo
artist Teodor Radu Pantea has been organized in the Tashkent
House of Photography under the assistance of the Academy
of Arts of Uzbekistan
and Embassy of Romania.
