Laconic black-and-white and cheerfully colorful, classical and avant-garde, realistic and surrealistic but undoubtedly interesting and heartfelt: more than 400 photos by the world best photo artists located on 6 grounds in Tashkent and Bukhara. This way the fourth international photo biennale took place in Tashkent.
Style.uz Design and Fashion Week have concluded its splendid procession having become the brightest fashion event of this autumn. During six days it gladdened, amazed, surprised and won the hearts by its scale and originality. Such a bright holiday was held thanks to FORUM OF CULTURE AND ART OF UZBEKISTAN Foundation and Dom Stilya.
These days Uzbekistan hosts Georg Springer, chief executive of the largest theater companies of the world Bundestheater Holding. He has arrived for participation in the week of design and fashion Style.uz but had time to visit the selection rounds of the festival of children’s creativity “Yangi Avlod” passing these very days.
Navoi Theater presented the opera art amateurs with the next surprise. This time a young singer, soloist of the Tatar state opera and ballet theatre named by M.Jalil Albina Shagimuratova blazed on the stage of Bolshoi Theatre.
A Republican forum of talented girls was held in the capital. It was organized by the Women’s Committee of Uzbekistan, Ministry of higher and special education, Ministry of public education, the Central council of the Public youth movement “Kamolot”, the Centre of the youth initiatives ‘Kelajak ovozi”, the Creative union “Tasviriy oyina” and the Children’s Fund.
On the threshold of the Day of State language a “Holiday of the Russian and Uzbek languages” was held in the capital. The two-day event gathered the philologists-specialists from Uzbekistan, Russia and Kyrgizstan to exchange their experience.
From October 12-17 Tashkent and Samarkand will be the epicenter for a fabulous event – Style.uz 2008 Design and Fashion Week. The event organized by the Forum of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan Foundation and Dom Stilya (House of style) Modelers Association for the third time draws a wide response with fashion professionals and representatives of all strata of society, both in Uzbekistan and abroad.
The ancient Japan city of Nara has opened an exhibition entitled “The Great Silk Road: persistent thread” that was organized by Forum of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan Foundation.
One of the long-awaited events in Uzbekistan – Style.Uz Design and Fashion Week is to be held on October 12 – 17 this year. Organized by the Forum of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan Foundation and Osiyo Ramzi (Symbol of Asia) Modelers Association, the event will take place for the third time and considered to be the country’s most scale fashion project.
The NBU (National Bank of Uzbekistan) Gallery of Fine Arts has been the venue for a charity painting exhibition of winners of a competition, “City of my dream”, dedicated to Year of Youth. The exposition included nearly hundred works of students and graduates of the republican lyceum of fine and applied arts.
