The Center of National Arts has represented one of the
unique phenomena of traditional culture – products of the Eastern miniature,
created by artists Bahodir and Behzod Khojimetov. The first personal exhibition
of father and son, organized by the Fund Forum and IJOD Association of Artists,
Art Historians and Folk Masters, has opened the art season of 2012.
The

easel painting. Products made in the best national traditions complied in

beginnings, their products are in one style with miniature painting and applied
art through which they acquire new value. The style of the Khojimetovs is
distinct in delicate and expressive drawing, rich of color gamut, interesting
plot and inimitable personages.

express the beauty of nature and home place,” says Bahodir Khojimetov. I adore
the rich heritage of our outstanding forefather Kamoliddin Behzod, his works
are always the source of my inspiration.”
The
painter’s son Behzod Khojimetov was born in 1979 in Tashkent, and always lived in the atmosphere
of creativity and love for the arts. It determined his future profession. Keen
interest in fine and applied arts and great potential at that pushed him to
follow his father’s creative path. Graduate of the Kamoliddin Behzod National
Institute of Arts and Design, in 2005 he became a laureate of the President’s
scholarship. The young painter notes that this high achievement became an
incentive for gaining new heights and helped him to believe in his abilities
and skills. As his father Behzod Khojimetov gave his preference to the Eastern
miniature. He participated in various exhibitions and currently teaches at the
Kamoliddin Behzod National Institute of Arts and Design.
