Uzbekneftegaz and Petronas Shift to New Level of Cooperation

President of the Republic
of Uzbekistan approved
the Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) signed between Uzbekneftegaz and the
Malaysian Petronas on cultivating the Boysun investment block in Surkhondaryo
region.
Davavianazorat, the national air safety service
of Uzbekistan, has completed a training seminar on the implementation of
standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in the aeronautical
information system of Uzbekistan.
In accordance with a presidential decree on
deepening the economic reforms and accelerating the development of building
materials industry, an extensive work is carried out in this direction. According
to the document 122 projects are provided for the implementation in 2005-2010,
of which 119 ones have already completed.
A new modernization project for electricity metering
system

Uzbekistan pays great attention to energy-saving technologies. Uzbekenergo
national company has informed of a launch of a phased introduction of an
automated energy consumption metering and control system (AEMS).
In recent years, Aral Sea
and adjacent southern territory attracts an increased interest as a promising
area for prospecting new deposits of hydrocarbons. Ustyurt Plateau, including
the Aral Sea, and adjacent Karakum and Kizilkum deserts, historically treated
as a once existed vast water body stretched from the Caucasus in the west to
the Tian Shan in the east.
During the first stage of the industrial fair
and cooperation exchange Suvmash (Water Mechanical Engineering) Open Joint
Stock Company of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of the
Republic of Uzbekistan held its presentation.
New factory in Tashkent region to produce poultry
feeds for the first time in Uzbekistan

A new factory is built in Yuqorichirchiq district
of Tashkent region to be first in Uzbekistan to produce such poultry
products as vaccines, vitamin and mineral complexes, premix products and food
additives.
Fish breeding and training center Surkhon Balik
has launched the first in the republic full-cycle incubation shop equipped with
new locally manufactured incubators Amur Tekhno. It will help fish-breeding and
fishing farms of the region to not only catch fish, but also take care for its
replenishment and increase its population in the reservoirs. The equipment and
technology applied in the Surkhondaryo region were offered by specialists of
the Uzbek Fishery Development
Research Center.
