Tourism in Uzbekistan has a huge potential for
development. Already today there are over 800 companies offering tourism
services, including more than 300 hotels and 500 travel agencies. They,
together with foreign partners, have contributed to the fact that in 2011 Uzbekistan was
visited by 1.4 million foreign visitors. And this is not the limit. Future
prospects for the development of domestic and international tourism have been
recently discussed at Uzbekistan
International Travel Workshop in Tashkent.
