A business
forum for representatives of private small business has passed in Tashkent. The
meeting was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the
Republic of Uzbekistan, joint stock commercial bank Pakhta Bank, Uzbekinvest
National Export-Import Insurance Company, Uzbek Leasing International A.O. and
Trade House of CCI in Canton, China.
In the third
quarter of 2008 the consolidated operational income of Unitel LLC and Buzton
LLC JV reached $58.4mln. Comparing with the similar period of 2007, it had
increased by 94.3%. These data was articulated by representatives of the
companies during a press conference passed in Tashkent.
Tashkent has
been the venue for a press conference on summing up the results of cooperation
between Uzbekistan and Poland in 2008 and future prospects for expansion of
trade and economic relations between the two countries.
