Ravshan Rustamov, UT
In the next five years Olmaliq Mining and Metal
Plant (OMMP) is planning to carry out several investment projects aimed at
increasing the capacity of the enterprise.
First of
all, OMMP will resume ore production in Uzun section of Kochbulak field. The
investment project will be implemented in 2012-2013. Construction documents are
prepared by Uzbek research institute of geotechnology and nonferrous metals O’zgeorangmetliti.
This year OMMP
plans to begin construction of an underground mine at Samarchuk site of Qizilolma
field to be completed in 2015. The plant will deepen the existing shaft, build
a complex of underground revealing and development mines.
Another
important project scheduled for 2012-2014 will be the involvement of Kayragach deposits
located on the northern slope of Kurama Ridge between Nishbaysay and Jigiristan,
left tributaries of Angren
River. Location of these gold
deposits, 25 km
away from Angren gold processing plant and 75 km from Olmaliq Copper
Smelter, is convenient for the production of finished products at no additional
cost. On the basis of this field, OMMP will build an underground gold mine.
Construction documents for this mine are developed by project works department in
conjunction with the mining department of OMMP.
In
addition, the development of Dalnee field and the construction of crushing and
conveying complex at Kalmakir mine will also increase mining and processing
volumes.
