Today, the Asian Championship in wrestling kicks off in Bangkok (Thailand). Uzbekistan is represented in all three styles.
However, our strongest athletes- Elmurata Tasmuradova, Rashid Kurbanov and Umida Ismanova are not going. The Wrestling Association of Uzbekistan, explained that the second best are going to the continental championship, and the leaders will be performing at the upcoming three licensed competitions.They will fight for tickets to Rio de Janeiro.
Athletes delegated to the Asian Championships in Greco-Roman wrestling: Feruz Tukhtaev (59 kg), Aram Varlanyan (66 kg), Nurbek Holmuhammatov (71 kg), Dilshod Turdiev (75 kg), Zhonibek Otabek (80 kg), Mukhammadali Shamsiddinov (85 kg), Suhrob Fattoev (98 kg) Muminjon Abdullayev (130 kg). Coaches : Ravshan Ruzikulov, Khayrulla Abdullayev.
Athltes delegated to participate in freestyle wrestling: Mahmudjon Shaukat (57 kg), Muhammadsidik Juraev (61 kg), Maruf Nurillaev (65 kg), Davran Avezov (70 kg), Islomiddinov Rahimov (74 kg), Ilfat Radzhapov (86 kg), Sukhrobjon Mukaramov (97 kg), Diyor Aralov (125 kg). Coaches: Olim Hikmatov , Abdurauf Bazarbaev.
Women athletes in freestyle wrestling: Dauletbike Yahshimuratova (48 kg), Zuhra Mustanova (53 kg), Sevara Eshmuratova (55 kg), Nabira Esenbaeva (58 kg), Salomat Kuchimova (60 kg), Nilufar Gadaev (63 kg), Bahtigul Baltaniyazova (69 kg), Lalahan Orinbaeva (75 kg). Coaches : Ahmet Kagarmanov, Bahodir Kalimbetov.
Also, Gayrat Abdullayev, Tahir Guliamov will serve as judges at the Asian Championship in Bangkok.
