The Philippines national team has a slim possibility in tomorrow's Football World Cup qualifying round game against the team of Uzbekistan. This was announced by Thomas Dooley, the head coach of the Philippines, at the pre-match press conference.
"I am a realist, and frankly, we don’t have so many chances against Uzbekistan as its team is the strongest in our group, but everything is possible in football. We will try to show good results and to do everything that depends on us", - Dooley said.
According to him, the team has arrived in a good condition, and the only problem is absence of several key players. "We brought the best available players and we will make all our strength in tomorrow's match," - the expert said.
He believes that the national team of Uzbekistan superiors to rivals in the group in all respects, and the footballers in the team are stronger, faster, and more technical than others. According to Dooley, there are strong players in the team who play in different leagues, but he does not have such players. And the most important thing, in his opinion, it is making decisions in the field: the faster players do it, the better the result. It is just the aspect in which the Philippines team lost in the first game against Uzbekistan.
"The result of 1: 5 was a big surprise for me in the last game. We already lost in the first minute, and after ten minutes all of our plans just collapsed. We should lay ourselves out against this team from the first minute", - Dooley said.
