Teams of the former "regular" world champion in super heavyweight according to the World Boxing Association World (WBA), Ruslan Chagaev of Uzbekistan, and the current holder of the title Australian Lucas Browne are in talks on the revenge fight, which could take place in August, TASS reports.
Representatives of the boxers have already held preliminary talks among themselves and with the WBA.
Last Saturday Chagaev lost to Brown by TKO in the 10th round of the fight, which took place in Grozny (Chechnya).
The boxer from Uzbekistan failed to defend a second time the belt won in July 2014 after his victory in points over American Fres Oquendo in Grozny. In July last year he won by KO Italian Francesco Pianeta in the 1st round. There are 34 wins (21 by KO), 3 losses, 1 draw in the track record of Chagaev now. Previously, he only lost to Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko and Russian Alexander Povetkin.
Brown won the world title for the first time. He remains unbeaten in the professional ring - 24 victories (21 by knockout). Brown became the first Australian World heavyweight champion.
