National judo championship, where 392 athletes from all regions of the country were presented, started yesterday in "Uzbekistan" sports complex.
Winners and prize-winners in four men (- 81 kg - 90 kg - 100 kg and 100 kg) and three women (- 70 kg - 78 kg + 78 kg) weight categories were selected in the first day.
45 judokas in weight category of up to 81 kg contested the victory. As a result gold, won by Sharafiddin Boltabaev, goes to Karakalpakstan. Silver medal, won by Davlat Bobonov, goes to Samarkand. Yusufbekov Normamatov from Tashkent and Kamoliddin Rasulov from Kashkadarya won bronze award.
44 contenders for medals were presented in the weight category of up to 90 kg. In the end the places were as follows: the first - Muhammadkarim Khurramov (Samarkand region), the second - Kamoliddin Kholmamatov (Samarkand region), Davronbek Sattorov (Tashkent region) and Madamin Sevinchov (Bukhara region) shared third place.
27 judokas struggled in the weight category of up to 100 kg. Erkin Doniyorov from Bukhara won the gold medal, Bekmurod Oltiboyev from Surkhandarya region is in the second place, the bronze medal went to Samizhon Ubaydullayev from Surkhandarya region and Shukhrat Nazarov from Kashkadarya region.
Three winners in the weight category of over 100 kg are as follows: Shukhrat Turaboev from Tashkent is the first, Elyor Masharipov is the second, and two third places was shared by Mukhsin Khisomiddinov from Tashkent and Boltaboy Boltaboyev from Khorezm.
Competitions among the girls turned out to be uncompromising as well. Mukhayo Ibragimova from Khorezm won gold medal in the weight category of up to 63 kg. Gulchekhra Mannanova from Andizhan region won silver medal, and bronze medals was won by Mukhayo Muminova from Andijan region and Gulnoz Ziyaeva from Samarkand region.
Umida Saidova from Navoi region was the strongest in the weight category of up to 70 kg. The second was Vasila Aliboyeva from Samarkand region; two bronze medals went to Khorezm. They were won by Sahobat Saidova and Nasiba Yuldasheva.
Winners of medals among men in the weight categories - 60 kg - 66 kg - 73 kg, among women – in 48 kg - 52 kg - 57 kg - 63 kg will be announced today.
