Following FC Lokomotiv and FC Bunyodkor, FC Nasaf of Karshi has gone out of the AFC Champions League after taking up the third place in the group stage.
In the final round FC Nasaf had to win the match to enter another stage. However, the match with Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli ended goalless.
The result of the parallel match between FC Tractor Sazi (Iran) and Al Ahli (UAE) automatically withdrew the issue on withdrawal from the group. Nasaf’s closest pursuer managed to win. Al Ahli beat Tractor Sazi with the score 3:2. Thus, Nasaf became equal on points with Al Ahli, but due to better statistics the second place goes to the rival.
Uzbekistan Cup winner Lokomotiv also had its last match. Showing no any results in this season, the Tashkent club lost to Foolad of Iran, scoring only four points to the results of six matches.
Today, Bunyodkor has met with Pakhtakor. If the match does not solve anything for ‘swallows’, then Pakhtakor still has chances to continue the struggle. To do this, the club needs in victory, although even in this case, much will depend on parallel match.
