The sixth day of the World Cup 2015 in Chelyabinsk, Russia, ended with a triumph of Uzbekistan team, which won one gold and one silver medal.
On May 17 at the Tractor arena three sets of awards were played. Semifinal and final fights took place in the weight category up to 73 kg for women, up to 87 kg and over 87 kg for men.
For the first time in the history of Uzbekistan Dmitry Shokin (+87 kg) became a world taekwondo champion. In the semifinals, he defeated the Cuban Robelis Despaigne. Winner in the final fight was not known until the end of the allotted time. The winner was determined in the additional, fourth round, which brought gold to Shokin.
Another representative of Uzbekistan Jasur Baykuziyev in weight category up to 87 kg in the final fight was defeated by Radik Isayev from Azerbaijan.
