The laboratory ‘Systematics and introduction of cotton’, a unique object ‘Gene pool of cotton’ and a greenhouse complex of the Institute of Genetics and Experimental Biology of Plants of the Academy of Sciences are transferred to the Institute of Botany.

The Institute of Botany will be engaged in a comprehensive study of the flora of the republic, the identification and rational use of plant resources, the identification of key botanical territories, the development of scientific bases for the conservation of rare and endemic flora species.
