The new Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Russia - Bahrom Ashrafhanov

The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Russian Federation, Bahrom Ashrafhanov, left from Tashkent to Moscow on February 24, 2016, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

Ashrafhanov, previously worked as a Deputy Minister, chief of the Treasury of the Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan. The previous head of the diplomatic mission, Akmal Kamalov, was appointed to the position of the Chairman of the Board "Uzhlopkopromeksport " holding company. He served as an Ambassador from October 2014 to December 2015.
