In the near future, Uzbekistan plans to establish an embassy and appoint an ambassador to Minsk (Belarus).
This was reported during the meeting of the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov.
Also, preparations for the visit of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Uzbekistan were discussed.
In addition, there was talk about cooperation in the field of the manufacture of medications, in the sphere of high technologies, the supply of elevators for the housing complex of Uzbekistan, road construction equipment and building materials.
It should be noted that the trade between Belarus and Uzbekistan in 2017 is beginning to recover. In January-August, it almost doubled compared to the same period in 2016. At the same time, Belarus increased exports 2.6 times to $ 52 million. The maximum trade turnover between the countries was fixed in 2012-2013, when the Belarusian exports reached $ 95 million.
