General Electric will consider the possibility of localizing production in Uzbekistan

The Vice President, President and CEO of Russia/CIS Department, General Electric Ronald J. Pollett sent a letter of gratitude to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In his letter R.Pollett expressed confidence that «the signed by us The Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and General Electric marks a new milestone in the history of development of our relations. The working groups created in accordance with the Memorandum will set the regular working rhythm of our further joint work and will facilitate the implementation of your instructions on accelerated modernization of the economy and attraction of technologies and investments to Uzbekistan».

The letter stressed that «the company is ready to strengthen partnerships not only as a supplier of high-tech equipment, but also interested in exploring the possibility of localization, including the implementation of vocational training programs and the training of local personnel using global educational resources and GE standards».

Ronald J. Pollett expressed «sincere intention to make every effort to ensure effective interaction within the created working groups, as well as to maintain the highest level of quality of products and services which GE is providing for industrial enterprises and the population of Uzbekistan».
