Venezuelan President promised to post every day on Facebook

Nicolas Maduro: "I invite you all to follow my Facebook, where I will post daily from now on." Venezuelan President, Nicolas Maduro, announced the intention to strengthen and expand his presence on social networks.

The corresponding statement was published on Twitter by the head of the Bolivarian Republic: "I invite you all to follow my Facebook, where I will post daily from now on."

Maduro posted on February 9, 2016, announcing his intention to strengthen his personal presence on social networks. The text implies that the president met with the executive vice president Aristobul Isturiz, with whom he discussed the decision, taken in conjunction with the National Council of the manufacturing industry. He also expressed hope for a productive economy in the future, together with millions of compatriots. At the time Maduro’s post got over six thousand likes. Since 2013, the Venezuelan president writes a microblog on Twitter, which has over 2.7 million subscribers.

In recent years, Venezuela is in crisis. In mid-January, Maduro announced an emergency economic situation throughout the country, for a period of 60 days.
