All the necessary conditions for monitoring of the extraordinary deputies elections in Kazakhstan have been created for the Mission of observers of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
This was stated by the Head of the CIS Observation Mission Evgeny Sloboda at the CEC briefing, BNews.kz reports.
"All the necessary monitoring conditions to carry out observation mission of observers from the Commonwealth of the extraordinary elections of the Majilis deputies of Parliament of Kazakhstan have been created, and it testifies openness and transparency of the electoral process. At present, we have accredited 111 observers from the Commonwealth; have received documents for accreditation of 130 representatives of the CIS states. In total, the mission will include more than 240 representatives from the CIS countries ", - Sloboda said.
Head of the mission reported that the members of the mission visited polling stations of Atbasar district of Akmola region and Astana election commission.
"Based on the visit results, we can say that the Commission is provided with all the necessary legislative acts, as well as with guides and materials. CEC published reference materials for the each category of election campaign. In this regard, we believe that the work is carried out at a high level ", - Sloboda noticed.
As he said, the mission, being present at the meetings of the CEC, notes transparency and openness in the work.
"We can say that 234 candidates will claim for 98 seats in parliament. This is a sufficient amount to voter to make a balanced and informed choice in the upcoming elections, "- he added.
