The free tourist zone ‘Boqiy Bukhoro’ provides for the construction of hotels of various classes of service on its territory, building of amphitheater for 500 seats, bowling clubs, discotheques, karaoke bars, cafes, restaurants offering national cuisine and the most popular cuisine of the world, souvenir shops and other products that provide conditions for full-time round-the-clock leisure of foreign tourists. A quarter of artisans and a covered market consisting of 2-storeyed houses with traditional handicraft shops and trade benches of national souvenirs, gold embroidery products, books, fruits and vegetables, sweets and other products will be built on the territory of the Shahriston market.
It is planned to provide participants of the free tourist zone ‘Boqiy Bukhoro’ with all the privileges and preferences.
For the first time the idea of creating a free tourist zone in Bukhara was put forward three months ago at a meeting of the head of the region with scientists from the universities of the region, at which promising projects for the development of the region were discussed.
