Who is to blame: a pharmacist or a doctor? Prosecutor General's Office announced the reasons for the death of three sisters in the capital

The head of Tashkent department of the Prosecutor General's Office, Bobyr Dekhkanov, announced the results of the forensic medical examination of bodies of underage sisters who died suddenly in Tashkent.

Earlier, the media reported that three girls from the same capital family - Munisa (2010), Mukhlisa (2011) and Mohira (2013) died on November 8 in Tashkent because of poisoning. The youngest sister died in an ambulance on her way to the hospital. The other two sisters were taken to the Institute of Epidemiology, Microbiology and Infectious Diseases in a state of agony.

The results of forensic examination showed that the girls died after using an antihypertensive drug (reducing blood pressure), which led to intoxication of the body and cardiovascular insufficiency.

As a result of prolonged use of the drug, a cardiogenic shock occurred in the girls (redox, a decrease in the contractility of the myocardium, which leads to inadequate blood supply to all organs and tissues, and depresses the function of vital organs.) Most often it develops as a complication of myocardial infarction or poisoning with cardiotoxic substances.

Earlier it was reported that an anthelminthic drug was prescribed for girls. However, presumably, because of the illegibility of the doctor's handwriting in the prescription, the pharmacist sold the antihypertensive drug to parents. Both drugs have similar names.
As Bobyr Dekhkanov noted, during the investigation it will be determined whether it was a mistake of the pharmacist or the wrong appointment of the attending physician. The name of the medicine, from which the sisters died, the law enforcers did not announce.
