On Saturday, September 17 in Tashkent, the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan held the 6th plenary session of the Central Council. Chairman of the Central Council of the People’s Democratic Party, head of the Party faction Hotamjon Ketmonov, supported by the voters and activists of the party, was proposed as the candidate for the post of the President.
Adolat Social Democratic Party held the meeting at the same day as well. The Party nominated the chairman of the Political Council, head of the faction Narimon Umarov as the candidate for the post of the President.
A day before the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan announced its intention to nominate for the post of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, while the Milliy Tiklanish Democratic Party proposed the candidacy of Sarvar Otamuratov.
