The Constitution of our country guarantees the right of citizens to elect and to be elected, equality and freedom of expression. In the years of independence under the leadership of the First President of our country Islam Karimov the national electoral system was formed to ensure these rights and freedoms. In accordance with the Concept of further deepening democratic reforms and formation of civil society in the country the amendments and additions have been introduced in the Basic Law and the electoral law, significantly improving the electoral system.
The Elections of the President of Uzbekistan are being held on the basis of a solid legal framework and in accordance with generally accepted international principles.
The political course of the state determined by the first President of Uzbekistan as well as the development principles serve the important basis for moving forward and enhance the well-being of the people. Thanks to peace and stability in the country, and favorable investment climate, Uzbekistan expands its international cooperation. As a result of the ongoing modernization of the economy its competitiveness and export potential grow. The development of private property and entrepreneurship enhances the production of modern goods and services, and provide employment. Ongoing structural changes in agriculture, increasing volumes of harvesting agricultural products provide the abundance in markets and the welfare of the population.
Measures for sustainable growth, improvement of the state and public administration system, reform of the judicial system and strengthening the rule of law, providing broad freedom for small business and private entrepreneurship, expansion of the revenue base of local budgets, development of social sphere will bring the country’s development and welfare of the people in the a new level.
Presidential elections are an important political event for the present and future life of the country. With a deep understanding of this the citizens actively participate in the voting. Each voter is free to vote for that the peace and tranquility continue to reign in Uzbekistan, and the future of the motherland will be great.
